How Frugal Are You?

I came across a really cool blog that is worth checking out. Almost Frugal lists 25 Frugal Things that she does. She also has a list of 25 more frugal things.

If you have any frugal ideas to share-leave me a comment.

I can't say I'm the most frugal person around, but, I have a budget that I stick to. I'm in the process of paying down my debt. I eat lunch and dinner at home at least 5 days a week and make coffee at home instead of going out and getting it. Part of that is laziness! I try to stay out of stores as much as possible because I'm a compulsive spender. That's all I can think of right now!

I also eat at home alot or bring my lunch to work. I bought these small 1/2 cup cups - they are the plastic ziploc kind you can buy, keep, wash, throw out when neccessary. I found they are the same size as items you buy in the store to put in your lunch bag like jello cups, pudding cups, and cottage cheese cups. So instead of spending $2.50 on a pack of pudding cups to put in my lunch, I spend .50 on a package of pudding, make it and put it in my own cups. Same thing, same amount, but much cheaper. I do this with all kinds of products. I buy a large thing of it and dispurse it in my cups for the week. Yogurt, cottage cheese, jello, pudding all work well.

Shawster, that is a really good idea.

Thanks for the mention! Those are good tips above too. I have some small containers, but I hadn't thought of using them for jello etc.
